Directing!!

These few days, we started filming lame and funny kung-fu videos using just a camera phone. It all started that day when we finished our work and had nothing to do during RE. So me ben and jh decided to make a lame film again ( we have been making lame films on other occasions as well ), however this time its different :P. We added in special effects as some random idea suddenly struck me. It dates 2 or 1 month back when David and Jon was playing with ah min's dad phone with the pause function. They filmed first with the guy standing there, then pause, after the guy walk away, they resumed the video. This enabled a sudden blink effect on the video where the guy just disappeared. I had this idea and went on with ben to film a kung-fu film. The first one was rather lousy since the angles of the camera was no good as the camera-man simply followed the actors around. We played around with the camera and once i ducked under the table, jh paused the tape and ill move out of there. Then ben run in, followed by me who was supposed to be in front of him suddenly appear from behind and chopped him :D. We had different stunts of blinking and it was a little bit interesting.
On the second day, i showed the video to some of my classmates. Bao especially thought it was cool and he asked me to send him. The next day he had the whole film edited :D. Though the editing wasn't very good with not much special effects except text and a repeat of one action, the editing did make the video much more hilarious, though it did get a bit boring as i watched it again and again as the text was too slow. The effect on the class was quite good as well, though most of them said it was lame, nearly all laughed when watching the video, even the amazing Ben Lau :O. So we set on to make the second :D. This time it was a little bit more planned, we based it on the anime Bleach and swaped weapons for Shikai and Bankai throughout the video, it wasn't very clear and planning really did sucked. However it was much more entertaining as the action is better and not that fake.
Finally, the third film turned out really good, i thought out the angles of the camera and had them rehearse before the thing. The fighting was really cool and coordinated with camera angles fitting each occasion, usually ahem, yeah however the last part was really screwd up, Bao's stupid idea -.- he wanted to do a sort of too-fast-to-be-seen-slash thingy, we went for it but it was really too-fast-to-be-seen, it wasn't obvious at all and some people who watched it were wondering how ah min died after he charged at Bao. The video is going under editing now, and we might be filming the last part again tomorrow and trim it in the clip. Hope it turns out good :D
